Gurnee Fire Department kicks off ‘Red Wreath’ campaign

GURNEE – For the Gurnee Fire Department, this holiday season, as in past years, is all about “Keeping the Wreath Red.”

The annual holiday fire prevention campaign – that switches a red bulb on a wreath at the firehouse for a white one for every holiday-related fire the department puts out – officially kicked off Dec. 2 at Gurnee Fire Department’s station 2 with the help of 10 Woodland Intermediate School students.
