ANTIOCH –  Grass Lake School District #36 will be holding a tree dedication in memory of Karl Heilgeist at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31.  Heilgeist was the head of maintenance and worked in many different capacities for the past six years at Grass Lake School. He passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 21 at his home.

During the dedication, the students and staff will gather by a blue spruce that was planted in honor of Heilgeist. The students, grades 1-8, will place commemorative ribbons on the tree in celebration of Heilgeist’s life and dedication to Grass Lake School and the community.

All parents and members of the community are welcome to attend the tree dedication.
