Antioch police makes friends with students/parents

ANTIOCH—About a dozen Antioch police officers came to the Antioch Upper Grade School  Oct. 11, to have a talk with students and their parents.

It wasn't an emergency and there were no arrests. Instead, the police department was hosting a student/parent rally, which included playing floor hockey and shooting hoops with the youngsters.

During the two-hour event, officers talked to the students about making good choices and living responsibly while other officers spoke to their parents about what to do if their child is a victim of bullying and violence.
