Bugs try to beat first freeze
They're not going to harm you, they just want to call dibs on a warm, dry spot inside your home or garage to survive the winter's first freeze.
They are the Boisea trivittatus or boxelder bugs, and they are everywhere right now.
These black bugs, that at first glance may look like lightning bugs but have a red or orange marking on their back can be found crawling on the ceilings of homes and the side of buildings and garages.
