Refreshments will be served at the prerace packet pickup from 7 to 9 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. July 20 at Equinox Highland Park, 799 Central Ave. On-site registration and packet pickup will start at 8 a.m. July 22 at the Highland Park-Highwood Legal Aid Clinic booth.
“The Highland Park-Highwood Legal Aid Clinic is grateful to be the beneficiary of the North Shore Taco Run,” Executive Director Susan Shulman said. “Since its inception, the clinic has helped more than 400 people who work or live in Highland Park and Highwood stay in their homes, gain legal immigration status or escape abusive relationships. The support from the North Shore Taco Run will continue to make these vital legal services available to our community in need.”
The run will start at 333 Waukegan Ave. in Highwood with a morning stretch by Equinox. The course will go through downtown Highwood, up along the Lake Shore and through historic Fort Sheridan. After the race, runners will be able to enjoy the Equinox Post-Race Recovery Station complete with chair massages, massage tables, foam rollers, anti-gravity chair and compression boots.
North Shore Taco Fest will feature tacos from more than 20 of the region’s taco-centric restaurants, caterers and food trucks. Healthy taco options also will be available.
Equinox also will host a hip-hop yoga class on the main stage at 10 a.m. July 23.
