Well, the jury is in. Week 1 of prep football is in the books.

While some may think the outcome of the season opener is a good indicator of how a team will fare in the following weeks, others take it for what it is – one game in a long, nine-week season.

Here are how Lake County teams fared Friday, Aug. 27.

• Westosha (Wis.) defeats Round Lake, 29-0

• Carmel defeats St. Charles East, 56-7

• Grayslake Central defeats Johnsburg, 36-20

• Crystal Lake South defeats Grant, 41-12

• Antioch defeats Streamwood, 47-17

• Grayslake North defeats Woodstock North, 27-15

• New Trier defeats Warren, 10-7

• Lakes defeats Chicago Perspectives, 40-8
